ROME: An Italian court on Saturday ordered a two-year ban from parliament and elections for scandal-tainted former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi as part of a tax fraud case, Italian media reported.

Berlusconi can appeal the ruling and the ban would in any case have to be approved by the Senate, where Berlusconi has a parliamentary seat.
